MMRT 3 (Madras Mylapore Round Table 3) is a member d Round Table India an organisation of non-political and non-sectarian welcoming young men aged between 18 and 40. It aims to promote service, fellowship and goodwill in national and international affairs. Round Table India provides a range of social and community service related opportunities through the fellowship of its members. The tablers of RTI form friendship, shape lives and make substantial difference in the lives of people, beyond the organisation itself.Round Table India has more than 200 Tables across 76 cities and towns in the country. The total membership of Round Table Intentional exceeds 43,000 active members across 52 countries.
MMLC 4 (Madras Mylapore Ladies Circle 4) is an non-political and non-sectarian organisation made up of the wives of members of MMRT 3. It offers opportunities for serving the community, for fostering and strengthening friendships between like-minded young women and helps create a beater understanding of the obbligatos one owes to the society. Ladies Circle works close to the Preamble of UNESCO.Every year, Mylapore Ladies CIRCLE 4, raises funds towards various causes like building and maintaining schools, Libraries, Playgrounds, Toilets, Blood Banks, Hospitals, Health Care Centre, Village Development programs, rehabilitation center and a host of other causes that enable a better living.
Over 50 million Indian children in the age group 6 to 14 are out of School Over 68% of all boys and 73% of all girls drop out of school before class 10. Over 34% India's adult population does not know how to read or write. Almost a third of the entire non-literate adult population in the world lives in India
To support the Round Table in creating infrastructure for educating underprivileged children and inking core of the other essential needs of children and other needy pertaining to education, heath and other basics.
Gurukulam started in 2004 with 34 students and 2 teachers. Presently grown to 216, students, from LKG to the IX Std, with 15 teachers and students from economically underprivileged background Free education in english medium, Free text books and note books, Free uniforms, Free wholesome lunch and morning raghi everyday, Free training in karate, yoga and extra-curricular activities towards all round development, Free medical and dental check up, How to Live" Moral classes, Gurukulam has pledged to support each student until he/she completes a professional / Vocational course
