RTI – LC India Week

November

Day-1 Dean Foundation Rs.7000/-

This is an organization in kilpauk which takes care of the people who suffer from cancer in the advanced stages. They provide them with nursing, medicines and nutritional food we have given them a cheque for Rs. 7000/- for 1 home nurse for one month, for on blood transfusion and one patient’s nutritional need for 1 month.

We provided a special lunch for the 200 mentally and physically challenged children of the school in Andhra Mahila Sabha in Adyar. This project is to provide mid- day meals nutrition in the school.

Day-3 SAATHI Foundation Rs.6000/-

Solidarity and Action against the HIV infection in India this is an organization which is provides medicines and nutrition to people infected with HIV. We had provided nutrition food packets for 24 children Rs. 250/- for one child for 1 month. They were such tiny little children.

Day-4 KARNA PRAYAG Rs.6800/-

The twinklers of MMLC #4 had conducted a cookout fundraiser and raised this amount entirely Nov -14th being children’s day.
They had conducted this project at KARNA PRAYAG which is a home for infants and children below the age of 4 years. Here we gave baby shampoo, diapers, milk powders, cerelac, baby wash and medicines for Rs.6800/-

Day-5 TANKER Foundation Rs.7000/-

This is Tamilnadu kidney research foundation here they conduct dialysis at a subsidized rate of Rs.400/- which otherwise coast Rs.1100 to 1400/-. It is very difficult to see the auto and taxi drivers and people who earn Rs.6000 to Rs.8000/- a month have to undergo dialysis twice a week. Which cost then Rs. 800. We provided 18 of them with free dialysis.

Day-6 Presidency School Rs. 14000/-

We provided 100 plastic chairs for the audio visual room in the school. This is a project to provide children with quality education.
